Edward J. Przasnyski's Obituary
Edward J. Przasnyski M.D.Born May 11, 1947 and died February 18 after a 4 1/2 year battle with esophageal cancer. Ed was the son of the late Pauline Bequette and Edward J. Przasnyski, Sr. of St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his two children, Nikki and Jeremy; and his sister, Kathy. A brilliant scholar, he attended St. Louis University and the University of Missouri Medical School on full-ride scholarships. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center. He was a Board Certified Endocrinologist in medical practice since 1981 with Endocrine Consultants Northwest in Tacoma. He was known as a caring physician who always had time to listen to his patients, and to respond in a manner that honored the dignity of each individual. He was a loving father and husband who enjoyed their company traveling to places like the Galapagos Islands, Alaska, and Mexico. He was an awesome human being whose intelligence &generosity touched the lives of many people. He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Lakewood at 12pm on Saturday, Febraury 23rd.Donations to his favorite charities: Pierce County Humane Society, Boys & Girls Club of Lakewood, St. Leo's Soup Kitchen, and/or Tacoma Rescue Mission-- would be appreciated.
