Edward Gene Hull
January 20, 1924 - April 4, 2009 Gene Hull, beloved husband father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 4th. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Donna of 37 years. He is survived by 4 children, Greg Hull (Louise) of Steilacoom, Debbie Fast (John) of Olympia, Michael Hull (Susan) of Roy, and Scott Hull (Janiel) of Yelm. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was born on January 20, 1924 in Aberdeen, WA and lived most of his life in or near Yelm. Gene served his country during WWII in England, in the Army Air Corps, returning to live in Tacoma in November 1945. From 1946 to 1967, Gene worked with his father, who owned E.L. Hull Floor Company in Tacoma. He remained active in the flooring business until his retirement in 1999. Gene was a member of the Elks Lodge for 60 years and an active member of the VFW in Yelm. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. A celebration of his life will take place at the Moose Lodge in Yelm on Saturday, April 18, 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
