Edward Dean Arnold's Obituary
Loving Husband, Father and Friend, passed away 1 July 2004. Edward was born on 26 November 1940 to William F. and Edith (Corum) Arnold in Johnson City, TN and spent his childhood years growing up in Bluff City, TN and Detroit, MI. Edward then spent most of his adult years serving his country. He served 24 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in September 1985 with the rank of SFC. In July 1986 he started a new Civil Service career with the U.S. Air Force, serving as an Environmental Protection Specialist with the 62d Civil Engineer Sq at McChord AFB, WA until his retirement in December 2002.EdwardÂ's great joys of life were his family, bowling and baseball. He spent many spring and summer evenings attending Rainier (Tiger) games at Cheney Stadium. Edward was also especially proud of the years he spent with his sons in the Boys Scouts and earning his Wood Badge as a member of the Beaver Patrol.Edward is survived by his Best Friend and loving wife of 35 years, Janice; sons Paul (Becky) and Jeffrey; granddaughter Alexandria; brother Ralph (Marie) and Clayton (Rita) Arnold; sister Linda (Andy) Gallegos; brother-in-law John (Julie) McGowan; sisters-in-laws Merla (David) Bjelland and Jeanette Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews and the many friends he has met throughout the years.A private family service is planned. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.PAPA, be at peace, your pain and suffering are over. We love and miss you very much and you will be in our hearts and thoughts eternally.
