CWO Ret Edward “Ed” J. Conner
Edward James Conner, 86, of Lakewood, was called home by the Lord on February 20, 2014. Born in Athens, Alabama on September 18, 1927, he went on to become a decorated soldier receiving numerous commendations including the Purple Heart during a tour in Vietnam.
After his military service, Ed continued his career working for the State of Washington and retired after 25 years. As well as being an active member at Grace Chapel Church, Ed loved the Lord and read his Bible daily.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Inge Conner, and their two sons Clyde E. Conner, James P. Conner. His warm and loving smile will be missed by everyone.
Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Mountain View Funeral Home Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice MultiCare Health System in Ed’s memory. Online condolences may be made to the Conner family at www.MountainViewTacoma.com.
