Edna Lucinda York's Obituary
Edna Lucinda (Peterson) York passed away April 27, 2016 in Tacoma. Born April 25, 1929 in Leith, North Dakota she moved with her family to Washington in 1939. Edna was a graduate of Stadium High School. She was employed by the Department of Social and Health Services, American Building Maintenance and Fields Products. She enjoyed baking, gardening, crafts and volunteering at Praise Covenant Church.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband James and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son David (Richard) of Long Beach, CA and daughter Barbara of Tacoma, her sister Elsie, brother Joe and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, May 21 at 2:00 PM at Praise Covenant Church, 3501 S. Orchard St., Tacoma, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Praise Covenant Church.
