Edna Lucille Busch's Obituary
Edna Busch
January 11, 1917 - September 2, 2008
Edna Busch, 91, was born January 11, 1917 to her parents, Wilson and Lena Braford, in Howard, South Dakota, the youngest of three siblings. She graduated from Howard High School in 1935, and married her husband of almost 52 years, Archie Busch, on March 8, 1943 in Chicago. Together they had one son, Richard, born on May 29, 1948.
Edna and Archie moved to Tacoma in 1947. After Richard's birth, Edna worked for some 34 years at the Nalley's Pickle Plant. Edna loved to cook and care for her family, and preferred to stay close to home except for annual trips back to South Dakota to visit her mother.
Edna was very committed to her Lord and her church. She was a member of Olivet Lutheran Church and later a charter member of Gloria Dei, where she attended worship regularly and was an active participant in the Ruth Circle and pastor's weekly Bible Study.
Edna passed away peacefully in her sleep at the University Place Care Center on September 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marian; brother, Roy;
husband, Archie (1995) ; and only son, Richard (1997). She is survived by her one grandson, Richard Jr., and several nieces and nephews. Her many friends and family members can take comfort in knowing she is with her Lord today, and reunited with all those loved ones who have passed on before her.
