Edna Bunn's Obituary
Edna Marie Bunn A loved daughter, sister, wife and mother passed away July 11, 2011, ten days before her 86th birthday. She had a ready smile for everyone, even as she entered the emergency room minutes before she passed. She fought a short but intense fight with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. She joins her husband Orin, daughter Linda Walden, granddaughter Jennifer-Lynne Walden, and parents Handel and Helen Ingham who have passed before her. She leaves her brother Don Ingham (Louise Jordan), daughters Jeanne Whiteside (Stuart) and Diana Varnell (Roger Larson), and granddaughters Bonnie Arnold and Lori-Ann Thorsness. She enjoyed her many great- and great-great-grandchildren. She surrounded herself with books all her life as she worked in libraries including 29yrs at PLU. Every book in her home was a valued friend. The variety of her books reflects her many interests including flight training, classic literature and current novels. The family thanks all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the hospitals and the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Center who treated Mom with love and care. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park July 26th, 2011 at 1pm in the Garden Chapel. Viewing available 11:30-12:30 at the funeral home.
Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
