Edith Turner's Obituary
Edith Margaret Turner Jan 17, 1917- June 2nd 2011 Edith went "home" on June 2nd to be with her Lord, her husband Tom, and her son Tommy Ray. Edith was born in Creede, CO to Walfrid and Margaret Rodlund. They moved to Alaska, then Seattle, and eventually settled in Thrift, WA, where she grew up on five acres with a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier. She graduated from Kapowsin High School in 1935, and three years later married the love of her life Thomas Turner. They settled in Tacoma and eventually moved to a little home in Manitou, where she lived for 57 years until her heart just wore out, independent until the very end. Edith worked hard all her life in furniture factories, taking care of her family, and keeping her home perfect. She loved to garden and go camping and clean her house, and she was always beautiful, even when out working in her yard. Her eyesight had failed her, but she was able to stay in her home, so familiar and comfortable to her. Left to mourn are her daughter Nadine Snyder, grandsons Dayle (Patti) Margeson, Steve Margeson, Keith Margeson, and Mark LoRe, great-grandchildren Samantha and Eric Margeson, and her many friends. She has been such an integral part of our lives for so long and she loved us all unconditionally. She leaves a big hole in our small family and we will miss her dearly. Services are on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mountain View's Celebration
Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
