Edith Sue Smith's Obituary
Edith Sue Smith was born May 22, 1943 in Rutherfordton North Carolina to McVeigh and Agnes Crain. Sue passed away on July 1, 2017 in Olympia Washington at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center.
Sue loved to be outside. One of her favorite things to do was to fish. She also loved to do anything that had to do with garage sale hunting whether is was having one or going to one. She also loved to talk to her sister Marie on the phone every day. They could talk for hours and not really say much to each other but they had each other to talk to.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray in April 1999. Her sister and best friend Marie passed away in January 2016. Sue was also preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 4 sisters. The Crain kids are all back together having a great big family reunion.
Sue is survived by her special nephew Robert Ayers, he took the time to take care of her the last few years she was in the nursing home. He made sure she received the care and treatment she needed. He also made sure she was able to see her sister often so they could talk in person and hang out. Sue is also survived by several nieces and nephews they are located in Washington State, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Sue will be laid to rest with Billy Ray Smith at Tahoma National Cemetery with a private service with family.
