Edith G. Lemcke's Obituary
Edith Lemcke, born August 11, 1916 passed away July 23, 2004 at the age of 87. Edith was born in Livingston, Montana and as a child moved to Tacoma, Washington. She lived her early years in Tacoma where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934.In 1937 she married her beloved husband Paul Lemcke and moved to Lakewood where she spent the remaining years of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, who passed away in 1985.Edith was a longtime, active member of The Little Church on the Prairie where she spent many years volunteering. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf and was a member of the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.Edith was a wonderful wife and mother and will always be especially missed by her many friends and family for her always smiling face and joyful greetings. She is survived by her loving family: children: Susan Frankland, Sandy Scott, Paul Lemcke and Peter Lemcke; brother: Stanley Haugen; 7 Grandchildren: Kristie Eggebroten, Karen Montgomery, Ben Lemcke, Gretchen Diese, Ryan Scott, Matt Lemcke, Paul Lemcke, and 6 Great-Grandchildren.Memorial Services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, in the Mountain View Valley Chapel with a reception following. Donations may be made to the Little Church on the PrairieÂ's Building Fund.
