Eddie L. Wilson's Obituary
Eddie Wilson was born on January 22, 1932 to Rose Nelson in Strutter, Ohio and was raised by his maternal grandparents.
He went home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and his wife.
He graduated from Strutter High School and joined the United States Air Force in 1951. Later, he met the love of his life, Betty Scody. Eddie and Betty were united in Holy matrimony in 1954; they were blessed with six children.
Eddie was stationed in Germany for several years and he also served abroad in the Vietnam War and England. His travel in the military encouraged his love for traveling. After he retired in 1972, he moved his family to Spokane, Washington. In 2000, Dad and Mom relocated to Tacoma to be close to their children.
His first love was his wife; his second loves were cars and the grandchildren. If Dad was missing, you were sure to find him at the car dealership purchasing a new car. He loved Cadillac's. Even when his health began to fail and he was unable to drive, he made sure he kept him a shiny new Cadillac in the drive way.
He enjoyed people and loved to talk. His sense of humor was endearing and contagious. Dad was a great Husband, Father, and a grandfather. He left a legacy for his sons and grandsons on how to be a -Å"Man- and how to entreat their family with love and respect.
He leaves to continue his legacy: daughters, Gloria Pruitt of Tacoma, Wa; Cloatee Huckaby of Ft Worth, Texas; Sons: Dennis (Debbie) Wilson of Tacoma, Wa; Sammy (Deborah) Mytrledove of Spokane, Wa; Carl (Trudy) of Portland, Oregon; Grandchildren:
