Earlean Jackson Jones' Obituary
Earlean Jackson Jones, 87 years age, of 9025 Moreland Avenue SW, Lakewood, Washington was born on April 18, 1929 and raised in Winnfield, Louisiana to Early Jackson and Lola Sholars. She departed this life on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Orchard Park Rehabilitation Center, Tacoma, Washington.
Earlean graduated from Winn Parish Training School prior to moving to California to live with her father Early Jackson, where she met and fell in love with her beloved husband of 39 years, MSgt Paul Jones Jr. Her adored husband preceded her in death on April 27, 1988.
Earlean retired, January 1988 from AAFES as branch manager at several stores locations on Joint Base Lewis/MChord.
Sister Jones was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served as Chairperson of Deaconess Minister, sang in the senior choir and held several post throughout her time at Shiloh. Earlean was also a member and past Worthy Matron Eastern Star as well as a Gold Star Wife. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support during joyous and challenging times.
Earlean leaves to cherish her memory; son Reginald Paul Jones; daughter Gaylon Marie Simpson, Son-in-law Ernesto P. Simpson; grandsons Paul Jones III, Shaun Ernesto Simpson, Jamil Patricio Simpson; granddaughter Maria Earlean Jones, and great grandsons Joseph Christopher and Jeremiah Benjamin Simpson; niece, Barbara C. (Pam) Whaley, Sister- in-law Bobbie L. Mills and Goddaughter Paula Power. Earlean also leaves behind several beloved and devoted Friends and Family throughout the country.
Earlean is proceeding in death by her dearly loved brother Harrison T. Mills.
A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved is still. A place is vacant in our hearts which can never be filled. After a lonely heartache and our silent tears, we will always have beautiful memories of the one we loved and cherished.
