Earl Williams Limberg of Lakewood, WA
Feb. 8, 1916 -- Aug. 18, 2008
Earl grew up in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduating from college he served in the CCC in the West, including Wyoming, and was commissioned as an officer in the US Army in 1940. He took a four year break for civilian life after World War II, and then he returned to military service, retiring as a Colonel. During the early part of the Korean Conflict he served on the staff of General McArthur, and his last active duty station was at the Pentagon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older sister, and his beloved first wife, Eleanor. From 1995, he was happily married to Katie June Hilmo until her death on April 16, 2007. Services will be at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment of his remains will be at Tahoma National Cemetery at 2:45 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2008.
