How can it be a year? We think of him all the time, remembering how he was always ready to strike a pose, make us laugh, enjoy a meal together, and do all he could, to get us in our beautiful home on this beautiful island. I also sad today. As for memories, where do we begin? Staying up til dawn laughing and talking, doing the Macarena, Annabelle Chante, and Luigi eating my corn dogs, Alex’s baby tooth that got lost, your parties, Trivial Pursuit, 4th of July at Villa Beaxh Road, , the fires in the fire pit, searching for golf balls, playing golf, the general store, squid- jigging at the marina, how you guys always managed to get on the ferry when you showed up when it was loading, 😂, the piano bar in Lakewood- wow that’s going back over 30 years! I could go on and on! Dwane was one of a kind! Sweet, kind, optimistic, and so much fun! Full of love, laughter, integrity, and sincerity! I can’t imagine our lives without having Dwane, Abby, Brandon and Alex. The best neighbors we ever had! I don’t think we ever didn’t have great fun. Remember when you bought the house next door and Charlie ran out to someone on the street and told them to go away because you guys already bought the house??

Dwane took me in 2009. I remember us watching wrestling together every Mondays and Fridays. We would laugh and hangout. I remember him taking me to Northwest university. I'm going to miss you dwane. Sorry I didn't come by. I was too ashamed because of me being gay. I thought you guys wouldn't accept me back
Dwane loved people and cared for his Community. I’ll never forget when he opened his house to my family, a stranger to him. While serving as a new Youth Director, Dwane and Abby supported me when I didn’t know how to approach the Community. Love you.
