Dwaine S. Jutte's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Dwaine S Jutte announces his peaceful passing on January 20, 2019, after an extended battle with cancer, he was 61.
Dwaine was born November 22, 1957 to the proud parents Alfred and Louise Jutte. He grew up with his parents and six siblings including, two sisters and four brothers, in University Place where he obtained his education and graduated from Curtis Senior High School.
Dwaine was an enthusiastic and adventurous traveler. He took every opportunity he could to venture throughout the United States. He successfully managed to navigate all of his journeys independently with nothing more than a map and bus/train schedule, to get to his destinations, most of which were National or State parks. Upon return, he loved to spend time telling stories of his adventures to anyone who would listen.
Dwaine also loved exploring and learning everything he could about Tacoma and University Place. He truly enjoyed everything about the outdoors, especially interacting with animals and collecting the most unique and beautiful rocks he could find. He was a caring and devoted family member who, even with his most modest resources, thoughtfully picked out sentimental gifts for each of his loved ones.
Dwaine was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Louise his two older brothers Gary (Betty) and Robert as well as his nephew Craig Helmholz. He is survived by his two brothers Don and Pat (Judy) as well as his sisters Kathy, and Carol (Steve) Helmholz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to his sister-in-law Betty for her exceptional care and support she provided Dwaine, especially as he battled cancer.
A graveside memorial will be held January 31, 2019 at Mountain View Funeral Home. The graveside service is set to commence at 1:30 pm. Guests are asked to arrive and congregate in the funeral home’s main facility at 1:00 until receipt of further instructions from the funeral director.
In Lieu of Flowers we believe Dwaine would appreciate donations to be made to any State or National Park.
