Larry Miller
I'm proud to say that I've known Douglas for almost 70 of my 76 years. We went to all of the same schools all of the way through high school. He was motivated to attend college when he found out that I had enrolled in Western Washington University after finishing high school.
When he found out that I created art, he asked my opinion of a leather piece that he'd developed. He told me that he wanted to place it in the Puyallup Fair. I told him that his entry would reward him with a blue ribbon.(He doubted me.) He enrolled his work of art into the Fair and, was awarded a blue ribbon.
