We miss you Doug! He was wonderful teammate and friend to us! Words cannot express the sorrow. God rest his soul in peace! May lord comfort all his family members and loved ones.
I did not get to work with Doug for a long period of time, but during the short time we were able to work together, I really enjoyed every moment.
Doug was kind, soft spoken, a voice of reason, a friend and an adventurer. I loved hearing his stories and seeing his wonderful photographs.
I am so thankful that each time we had a happy hour that I took the time to go and spend time with him. We spent many an evening enjoying the company of our friends. I will cherish those times.
Praying for the entire family during this time and wishing them peace in knowing that while he was here only a short time, he made a profound impact on many people.
May his heavenly motorcycle always have a full tank of gas and may the road always be open.
Doug was an amazing person and wonderful coworker to work with. He will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to the family during this time.
Very Deeply saddened! in my early years at State Farm, Doug and I worked together and became very good friends. Doug introduced me to a lot of good music, and we shared the same type of taste in music, movies, and comedy. He attended several gigs that I played in, and always appreciated my music, and vice versa. I moved to the United States in 2001, and people like Doug made me feel at home. Deep condolences to the family, and I request that you please reach out to for anything you need in this time of need.
I worked with Doug as a new project manager and he was always someone I could depend on. I got to know Doug we worked together and found that we shared many interests were fellow veterans. I enjoyed following Doug on his adventures through Facebook and am deeply saddened by this. I pray for his family and friends that they are comforted and find peace.
I worked with Doug as his project manager for a few years, but even after that that time he continued to be a fudge critic for me. My husband and I made fudge outside of State Farm, so he would bring me exotic flavors to try from other companies to see if we wanted to copy their recipes. I loved trying the new flavors and talking to him about the places he had been. He was fun and a hard worker, and loved to share knowledge (fudge and work).
I am so sorry for the family's loss, but know that Doug was a good man. You will be in my prayers.
