Douglas Dale Finney's Obituary
Douglas D. Finney, 87, passed away April 29, 2014 in Tacoma, WA. He was born on November 15, 1926 in Washington Township, Iowa to William H. and Grace (Meyers) Finney.
Douglas served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the war Doug met Beverly Manfredi and fell instantly in love, they spent a wonderful 54 years together, and had three beautiful children. Following his military service, he worked for 35 years as Billposter for Foster and Kleiser Outdoor Advertising Company. Douglas spent much of his free time playing the horses and taking trips to Nevada with his wife.
He is survived by his daughter Susan O’Toole; sons Pat (Jan) Finney and David (Patty) Finney; sisters Chad (Jack) Miller and Carol Anderson; sister-in-law Marion Finney; grandchildren Kelly, Brandy, David, Stacy, Laura, Erin and Lynne; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, brother Keith and sister Gloria.
A private family graveside will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA.
