Dorys Christine Banford Nelson, born March 29th, 1929 in a farm house in Boone County Iowa, and went to join her husband DuWayne Nelson in heaven March 23rd, 2014 just days before her 85th Birthday. She attended Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker who helped her husband run Nelson Floor Covering for over 30 years. They were lifetime members of the Tacoma Unit # 1 Horseman's Club. She loved to bowl in her younger years, she crocheted over 75 afghans one year to give them all away. She was an area depot leader for the Camp fire girls troops when it was cookie season for many years. She got her pleasure in cooking great meals for her family. In her healthier times she loved to garden. She was preceded in death by her Sisters Ella Mae Ernsbarger, Marilyn Moody and Brother, Wayne Banford and one daughter, Barbara Nelson. She is survived by her daughters and son in laws, Cathy & Tony McPeek, Michele and Michael Drorbaugh, Sherry & Earnest Phinisey, Debbie Chapin and Gary Pierce, her grandchildren, Christine and Jimmy Rainier, Kevin Adamson, Cody Rychlec, DJ & Dani Phinisey, Jonathan Phinisey , Jeremy & Mandy Drorbaugh, Lindy Walker & Carli Rasmussen,
