Laverna Simpson Crim
Dorothy, or D.J. as I called her, and I became friends in a Sunday School
class at the age of 7, or 78 years ago.
It is difficult to lose such a close friend after all these years even
though we lived a great distance apart most
of these years. We knew each other so well that sometimes we could
finish each others sentences! And we
giggled a lot, even in our old age. It did get us in trouble sometimes
in our young church classes! I have had
many friends during my lifetime, but never a relationship like we have
had. I appreciated the fact that her
service was at Mountain View. One time when we visited her, we walked up
to a corner & could see Mt.
Rainier, so I know she enjoyed it's beauty. We both loved music &
started singing together for fun and
for church,duet, trios, girls quartet. Now, she's in a Heavenly choir.
I'm so thankful for our wonderful
friendship and will greatly miss her. With my love to her sweet family,
