Dorothy Von Walter's Obituary
Dorothy Von Walter, was born October 13, 1925 at 1 p.m. in their Sterling area home near Sedro Woolley, WA to Minda Betsy and William Henry Holt camp. She passed March 3, 2022 age 96.
She attended the local schools, graduating from Sedro Woolley High before crossing the state to continue her education at WSU where she acquired three of her lifelong friends.
She also worked for Skagit Steel for a time before meeting her future husband in her family's own strawberry patch. She married Grant B. Von Walter on May 15, 1948 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Sedro Woolley, WA.
They lived in Port Angeles for a short time before settling in Tacoma, building their house on East 50th street. and raising their two children. They were long time members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Tacoma actively living their Christianity among the fellowship there.
Dorothy Von Walter is survived by her two children Phil C. Von Walter and Priscilla A. Cullen along with grandchildren Sterling Cullen and Cienna Cullen, and great grandson Perrin Cullen.
