My favorite memory of Dorothy is, when she was director over at Emmanuel and her granddaughter Leah was attending there. As Leah was taking her first steps the look on Dorothy's face said it all! She was so proud and loved the heck out of Leah! Dorothy was such a warm person. I loved her stories she would tell!

One of my favorites was the time I was staying with her. I think I was five. I somehow convinced the cousins to pull everything in the upstairs room into a big pile so we could burn our bonfire. I ran downstairs and asked Aunt Dorothy for a match. I wish I could remember the look on her face but I'm sure I had several other opportunities to see that same face again.
