Dorothy A. Piccolotto's Obituary
Dorothy Piccolotto 93 of Puyallup, Washington passed away peacefully in her sleep and went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ed, and daughter Carol (Jim). She is survived by her son Dennis (Nancy) daughter Linda (Steve) 5 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren and sister Janet. She was affectionately known as Dottie to her friends and Nonnie to her family. Dorothy was a 1st generation Italian her father Nello Bertocchini her mother Sarah Ambrose, and she was very proud of her Italian heritage and family traditions. Dorothy and her husband Ed built two homes together the first on South Ash, in Tacoma the second on 35th Ave Ct E in Puyallup where they joined the Waller/Carlson Road community and raised three children. It was a close knit community and Dorothy remained friends with her neighbors there (Sally & Marilyn) until her passing. She was a member of the Community Christian Assembly where she was the Treasurer for many years. She loved to read her Bible and it was always beside her chair during her twilight years. Dorothy lived out her retirement years in a duplex near 77th and Canyon Road where she loved to visit and take walks with her neighbors. She spent a brief time at the Vineyard Memory Care in Puyallup where she received exceptional care, unfortunately her health declined and she spent the last few days of her life at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Her children and grandchildren were able to visit her before she slipped away and she listened to the soothing gospel tunes of the Statler Brothers and Elvis Presley as she neared the end and crossed over the Jordan. She will be missed......
