Dorothy Marillyn Root's Obituary
Dorothy passed away August 8th at the age of 80. She is reunited with her husband Art, the love of her life.Dorothy was born in Starbuck, Minnesota to Dick and Hazel Toombs on December 12, 1924 and moved to the Pacific Northwest as a young lady. Dorothy enjoyed boating and was a member of the Totem Yacht Club. She also enjoyed working on arts and crafts, gardening, puzzles and genealogy. She loved her family.She is survived by two daughters, Marillyn (Don) Ratliff of California and Barbara (Gene) Beckstead of Parkland, plus three grandchildren, Edwin (Tina) Dougher, Sherry and Marie Ratliff and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Michael Dougher and her sister Sandy (Jim) Jones of Sequim. She will be missed by so many.Service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, August 13th at the Mt. View Celebration of Life Center. In lieu of flowers remembrance may be made to the American Cancer Society.
