Dorothy Mae Fode's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Wohld Fode, born in Centralia, WA on Nov 20, 1929, passed away on June 14, 2004. She died at 1:30pm at her home in Spanaway, WA. Dorothy battled the ravages of Cancer for several months. At the time of her passing she was being comforted in the arms of her loving daughter-in-law Karen Fode Benedict and her grand daughter, Liv Fode.Dorothy is survived by her beloved friend and companion Wayne Hefta, her faithful puppy Lulu, and her daughter Linda Swensen and twin sons Jim and John Fode. She is also survived by her brother Everett Wohld and sisters Doris Nakano and Shirley Mooney.Â"Grandma DotÂ" was loved by so many dear friends and extended family members and was comforted by their presence, kind words and loving expressions. Dorothy (Â"A gift from GODÂ") is now back among the Angels eagerly awaiting her next assignment. She would want to thank all who helped comfort her in her final days, including Wayne, Mildred, Nikki, Greg, Vicki, Karen, Liv, Lauren, Kirsten, Carrie, Adam, Meggan, Kristopher, Billy, Bill, Penne, Allison, Everett, Edna, Doris, Dave and Debbie. If there was but one thing my mother would have wished for, it would be for us to Â"Smile whenever we think of herÂ" and then pass that smile on to another loved one and then on to a complete stranger. Should we ever sense her presence (a tap on the shoulder, a bird chirping or the wind blowing gently over our faces), just simply smileÂ... It could be her.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Autism Society of America, on behalf of her precious grandson Timothy John Fode.
