My dear, sweet mommy. I miss you and I will always love you. You will forever live on in my heart. You and dad have always been there for myself and for my children. God so richly blessed my life with such an incredible, special, and very precious gift...you! I Corinthians 13 has always been my favorite chapter of the Bible, and as I remember it also was for your dad. As I read over that chapter again and again, I can see you, my mommy. Your unconditional love for your family is a wonderful legacy which will live on through all eternity. As it's written in I Corinthians 13:13, "And now abideth, Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is love." I'm sending you this poem which I wrote for you. Remember, I read it to you at the Hospice House...
~Heavens' Arms~
This day begins the journey,
My mommy's called to take;
As she ventures into the promise land,
Entering in through Heavens' gate.
No longer will she be in pain,
Only comfort, joy, and peace;
With the knowledge I will see her again,
I thank God for His perfect love so complete.
My sweet mommy you've been chosen,
By God to sing in His choir;
Your angelic voice will live on in our hearts,
Our love for you, a continuous flame burning brighter.
Mommy, as you walk towards Heavens' arms,
Such peace and tranquility surrounds;
With His hand reaching out God welcomes you home,
His unconditional love for you abounds.
I love you mommy.##imported-begin##Karen D. (Webb) Burningham##imported-end##
Dorothy, you were a great part of my life and my daughter Olivia's middle name is partly after you, Dorthea. You must have known I loved you. I remember my mom going to the doctor when I was five, and you took care of me. You thought I didn't like you, but once you bought me popcorn, you found out the truth. You had a hard time making me be quiet after that. I remember learning “Do Lord†from you. Thank you that and I know you are singing loud and proud in heaven with my mother. You were her best friend, and my favorite non-related Aunt. God bless your family. You were one of the funniest people IÂ’ve ever met. I will hope to meet you again somedayÂ…way beyond the blue.##imported-begin##Tina Smallbeck (Stevens)##imported-end##
To Larry, Karen, Ken, Dennis and all the family members:
Dorothy was my mom's dearest friend. Our families grew up together sharing holidays, camping trips, midnight hours playing canasta and Tripoly. Dorothy would always open her heart and home to those she loved, including me. Dorothy and Larry practically raised me as their "adopted" daughter. Dorothy will be missed, but her love, kindness and great sense of humor will always stay close at heart. My life is richer having known Dorothy.
With sincere sympathy,

Hi Honey, I miss you so very much, just the other day I told you that I loved you and you said with a slight grin, "I don't blame you". You knew that you had a fatal disease, so you told me in the event of my passing, I should re-marry, honey this will not happen, You are the only one for me. you gave me 51 years of wedded bliss, 3 wonderful children, 6 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, who have showed in many ways the closeness and love that we have for each other. Yours forever. Luscious Lips Larry##imported-begin##Lawrence D. Webb##imported-end##
To my Family,
Grandma will be greatly missed. She was always there for me as I was for her. so many great and funny memmories. She would flirt with any boy I would bring around. I remember one time she stop in the middle of the store parking lot for grandpa to give her a kiss and wouldn't move till she got it(I'll never forget that shopping trip).Each time one of my kids was born she would come to the hospital and say "For Me!" I had to let her hold them before grandpa could, cause she said they will run to him later. I know she always be with me in my heart and is now watching over me and my family, but I miss her she is the best grandma a grand-daughter could ever ask for.
Love Always Your first grand-daughter,

I always liked Dorothy, she always made me laugh and helped me in times of need. I remember her as funny, loving and one of the most honest and kindest people Iv'e ever known. The world needs more people like you Dorothy. I look forward to seeing you in Heaven. Allen##imported-begin##Allen Burningham##imported-end##
To Larry, Ken, Karen and Denny
Dorothy was a soul who shared her self through laughter. Sometimes to hide some pain but also to give us a smile. Dorthy was my Mom's best friend here in Tacoma. There were so many memories tied up with those two. They shared ups and downs, joys and sorrows, proud moments and dissappointments. I can't think of the Webb family without thinking of the stronghold which was Dorothy. Over the years I have seen so much less of her. Sometimes in passing at the local supermarket or at my mom's funeral, but I will remember that she was an integral part of my youth and will be fondly rememembered with love and laughter.
God Bless you all, and my prayers are with you.
