Dorothy M. Soldin's Obituary
Dorothy, 87, a lifelong resident of Tacoma, WA, peacefully passed away April 29, 2006. Dorothy married her best friend, Evert Soldin, on October 8th, 1942. She was a homemaker, and later worked for the Stationers, retiring after 25 years. She was a member of the Lincoln Class of 1937 Girls Club, meeting with her Â"Club GalsÂ" monthly over the years. Dorothy and Evert made many memories with their travels and at their summer place at Vaughn Bay and enjoyed spending time with family most of all. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Evert; daughters, Diane (Paul) Backstrom, Susan (Larry) Huisinga; grandchildren, Heidi (Dean) Pase, Jini, Mollee and Serena Huisinga, Tina (Alec) Coleman, Toni (Michael) Markham; As well as six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Art (Sallie) Woodruff and two nieces. There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm, Sunday, May 7, 2006 at the Tacoma Yacht Club.
