Dorothy M. Kendall's Obituary
Dorothy Marie Kendall was born August 26, 1916 to Sofus P. and Olga A. Eilertsen in Tacoma, Washington where she remained all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Kendall, in 1986.As the sixth child of Norwegian immigrants, Dorothy loved to speak of her heritage and customs. Some of her most precious possessions were simple copper tea kettles made in Norway and a ceramic tea cup collection. Dorothy was a selfless individual who devoted her life to her husband and four sons. She was eternally cheerful and optimistic about life. Her sense of humor always helped to make the best of any situation.Dorothy is survived by her sons Rod (Barbara), Tom, Bob (Patti) and Jon all residing in the Tacoma area. She has seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family will hold a private graveside memorial service. Memorials may be sent to the Tacoma Rescue Mission or the AlzheimerÂ' s Association of Western Washington.
