Dorothy L. Pedersen's Obituary
Born December 28, 1921 to Robert J. & Emma Anderson of Cologne, MN died peacefully on April 5, 2007 in Tacoma, WA. Dorothy left MN and her teaching position in 1944 to join friends in Tacoma. Here she met and married George Galteland in 1951. Dorothy was an active resident and involved citizen of Federal Way, WA for over 40 years, raising two children Cheryl E. (Ken) Schulz, Tacoma and Robert O. (Debra) Galteland, Snohomish and serving as the Calvary Lutheran Church administrative assistant for 30 years. Dorothy enjoyed her retirement years traveling and entertaining in her home on American Lake while married to Marvis S. Pedersen of Lakewood, WA beginning in 1991. The joyful focus in her life was with her 5 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Robert H. Anderson, Cologne, MN. Survived by Lois I. (Wayne) Buckingham, sister, Des Moines, WA. and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lakewood (253-588-2886) at noon, April 10.
