Dorothy Jean Jennings' Obituary
Dorothy Jean Jennings (100 yrs.) passed away at Foundation House in Federal Way, WA, on November 15, 2023. She was born to John and Lillian (Hademan) Craig of May 6, 1923 in Tacoma, WA.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma in 1941, worked as a secretary in Tacoma and San Diego, CA, an than married Donald "Pete" Jennings on June 11, 1945. They had three daughters: Carol, Kathy and Donna.
Dorothy was a good, kind and loving person who enjoyed being a homemaker. When her husband became ill, she helped support the family by working at Weyerhauser, retiring in 1987. Her husband, Pete died in 1971.
She enjoyed traveling with her family to Hawaii and cruises to Alaska, Mexico and the Panama Canal. She was a Jehovah's Witness and had many friends in the local congregation. She appreciated their visits very much.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Carol Dufur, Kathy Jennings and Donna (Brent) Spillner, her brother Melvin (Dolores) Craig, grandchildren Joshua Spillner, Kevin Spillner and Jodie (Brett) Davis, and great-grandchildren Aubrey Spillner, Hayden Davis and Casen Davis. She was preceded in Death by her husband, parents and brother James.
There will be a private graveside memorial at Mountain View Cemetery.
