Dorothy Jane Leatherby's Obituary
Dorothy Jane Welsby Leatherby, born April 30, 1913 in Rockford, Illinois, passed away on October 7, 2005 in Tacoma, Washington. She lived in Tacoma for 18 years, most recently at Franke Tobey Jones Retirement Estates.Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Judith L. Ball (Henry) of University Place, WA and Janice L. Whigham (Dennis) of Crofton, MD, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.Dorothy lived in Glenshaw, PA for 35 years where she was an active member of Glenshaw Presbyterian Church, Honorary Member and Past President of the Shaler Garden Club, and Life Member of the Shaler Auxiliary of North Hills Passavant Hospital. She was a Life Member of the Garden Club Federation of PA, a Master Judge of Flower Shows of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, and a member of the Pittsburgh Civic Garden Center. After moving to Tacoma she was a volunteer at Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Home.
