Dorothy Helen Sawyer's Obituary
Dorothy H. (Collman) Sawyer 1/28/1914 - 2/27/2008 Dorothy was born in Seattle to Warner and Helen Collman and passed away in Auburn. She married Hilliard Sawyer in 1934. They lived in Poulsbo, Hilo, HI and Ft. Lauderdale. Dorothy loved Hawaii, her family, flowers, friends, dogs, and the laid-back Hawaiian lifestyle. She moved to Sumner in 2000 to be near her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister Gertrude Reese. She is survived by her brother John (Joan) Collman, brothers-in-law Tom Sawyer, Richard Bartolatz, and Royal Sawyer, also nieces Julie (Jim) Anderson, Janis (Sam) Suznevich, Judy (Fred) Hahnenburg, and nephews Jim (Jacquie) Collman, Paul (Yvonne) Gaetz and Tom (Debbie) Gaetz, and many beloved great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a loving, gracious soul who was loved by everyone. The family thanks Jenny Hendrickx and the wonderful staff at Grace House for their loving care. A private family celebration will be held.
