Dorothy Helen McGimpsey Perkins Beloved friend, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Helen McGimpsey Perkins was born October 15, 1918 in Tacoma, Wa and passed away on January 15, 2012 in Olympia, Wa. She was an alumna of Lincoln High School in Tacoma, the city where she spent much of her life. Dorothy's family was her joy. She was also an avid gardener, cook and traveler who took great pride in her many years as the Executive Secretary to the District Manager of the J. C. Penney store in the early years of the Tacoma Mall. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Milton G. Perkins and her daughter Marilyn Willingham. She is survived by her daughter Carol Clinton Of Olympia, her brother John McGimpsey of Olympia, her grandchildren Georgina Drew of New York, Jason Drew of Olympia and Kim Rhode of Carnation, WA as well as her four great-grandchildren Gieta, Jaela, Brielle and Noicole.
