Dorothy Barefield's Obituary
My mother Dorothy was born on March 25, 1926, in Vadar, Washington and passed away a month shy of her 100th birthday on February 22, 2026. Always consistently kind and courteous throughout her entire life, she was the epitome of a devoted Christian, wife and mother. Towards the end of her life, she would tell everyone that not only that she loved them, “She would love them forever”.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, William H. Barefield and her son, David H. Barefield.
She is survived by her son, William O. Barefield, her daughter-in-law, Celinda P., her granddaughter, Celinda M. and her great-granddaughter Celinda C. She was loved and admired by her extended surviving family: her niece Billie Olsen, husband Bill, children Dan and Jeff Olsen and their children; Riley, Cody, Grant and Wyatt. Her nephew Mike Hansch, wife Elaine, children Camille, Nick, Greg and their children: Aubrey, Tegan, Langley and Adelynn. Her deceased nephew Eddie’s children Edward and Evan Hansch.
