Doris was a great friend. . .She had just attended my 50th birthday. I met her through our mutual friend Judy Carter and we became fast friends. We lived on Fox Island at the same time, and saw alot of each other for coffee almost every day. We played baseball that first year and everytime I would run into her she would mention that line drive into her shin, which she said was now a permanent lump! I remember Nadine, Doris and I going to the drive in movies when her husband was overseas. We'd laugh and giggle, eat popcorn, drink coke and just basically have a wonderful time.
