Doris Lee Merkt's Obituary
Doris Lee Merkt Apr 26,1923 - Jan. 19, 2016 Doris was born in Tacoma, raised in Orting, lived most of her life in Tacoma and Puyallup, and spent her final years in Auburn. She was a proud graduate of Orting High School, class of 1941. Doris served as a Yeoman in the US Navy (Waves) from 1943-1945. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard. Survivors include; 2 sons, Merle Merkt(Auburn), Wayne Merkt (Puyallup), a daughter Patricia (Merkt )Ness. Grandchildren are Chris, Ken, Krista, Kara, and Cassandra. There are also nine great grandchildren. As there will be no services, let your memories of Doris bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. Thanks to Dorothy’s Angel Haven Adult Family Home in Auburn for their years of ministering comfort and love, and to Franciscan Hospice for their care and compassion.
