Doris and her twin sister Deloris were born at home in Wall, South Dakota where they attended Wall High School. As a young girl Doris met her soul mate of life, Norman Sebade. They celebrated Their 71st wedding anniversary was October 5, 2009. The love that Doris and Norman shared for over 71 years was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Family and home were Doris' most important focus in life. Her goal was to make sure all of her family was well educated and goal oriented. One of her many gifts were her ability to stay abreast of world, local and family news. Throughout their many years together, Doris and Norman enjoyed Tahoma Dance Club and their pinochle club. No one could play cards with such zest and shear sparkle as Doris.

One of the many joys Doris and Norman shared was their visit to family and friends in Wall, South Dakota. Also their trips to visit Susan and family in the Northeast were very special to them.
Unfortunately, Doris suffered with health problems for many years. However, she was determined to spend each day to its fullest whether playing cards, going for frequent rides with family and friends or chatting with her sister in Wall.
Doris was gifted with the ability to sew and crochet. She created unbelievable works of art using the finest threads and fabrics. Her many beautiful tablecloths, bedspreads and afghans will be treasured. She made sure that her daughters; Margaret and Susan at a young age could cook and sew. Grandchildren knew there were always cookies, pies and cakes at Grandma's house. And everyone knew far and wide about her famous chicken and noodles dinner. We will all remember fondly and miss those special dinners together. Doris wrapped her family in love and devotion.
