Doris L. (Merrell) Peterson
Doris L. Peterson, 105, born in LaPorte, Minn. on December 9, 1904, passed away in Tacoma, WA on Feb. 23, 2010. Doris and her husband, Richard, owned and operated 2 grocery stores, one in Oakland Addition and the other in Algona, WA. Retired to Lake Spanaway, then Tahoma Terrace and finally to the Village Assisted Living. She had two children, daughter, Marilyn Weber of Richland, WA (deceased) and son, Richard, Jr., Palm Desert, CA. Survived by son and 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services: Wed., Mar. 3 at 10am. in the Garden Chapel at Mt. View Funeral Home (253) 584-0252.
