Doris Jean Johnson's Obituary
Doris Jean Johnson, 83 became an angel on May 5,2017. She was born in Seattle, WA & lived the majority of her wonderful life in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Doris was employed for 32 years for different employers as a Secretary, with the most recent for Madigan Army Hospital.
In January,1954 she met Ed on a blind date and they were married 3 months later and were together until Ed's passing in January of 2003. They moved to California in 1955 where they lived for 5 years and then moved back to Tacoma where both their families lived.
Doris was involved in many organizations with her kids. Girl Scouts, 4-h, Jobs Daughters, Campfire Girls. She was a member of Faith & Vida Chapter OES.
Several years ago she reconnected with a childhood friend Tom Allison and they shared a very special friendship.
Doris is survived by her 4 children, Dale of Seattle, WA, Barbara (Tim) Becker of Seattle, WA , Cheryl Johnson & Deanna Johnson, both of Tacoma, WA. Her 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Becker, Timothy Becker Jr., Rebecca Johnson & Daniel Johnson.
Her celebration of life will be held Friday May 12, 2017 at 10:00/AM at Mountain View Funeral Home Aspen Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW Lakewood, WA. A reception will follow at Steilacoom Masonic Lodge, 5405 S. Puget Sound S Ave. Tacoma WA. Family and friends kindly invited.
