Doris Isabel Sigafoos' Obituary
Doris Rolstad Sigafoos
Born June 4, 1923, died peacefully January 1, 2010 surrounded by her family. A resident of Puyallup since 1955, she served the community as a registered nurse for many years. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Frank Sigafoos, in 1996. She leaves wonderful memories in the hearts of her family: sons Jay (and Carol) Sigafoos of Bellevue; Roger (and Mary) Sigafoos of Tacoma; and daughter Sheila Cervantes of Puyallup. Grandsons Shawn, Mark, and Jon Sigafoos and granddaughters Stephanie Allen, Kristy Wilson and Jessica Glaser (along with their spouses) feel so blessed to have had her as their Grandma. Nine great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed tremendously are also a part of her legacy.
Friends have asked the family about memorial gifts. These may be directed to a ministry that Doris supported in Zambia, Africa. Her granddaughter and family are living and working there with very poor pastors in the area of Bible training and church leadership development projects.
