Doris Hagerud's Obituary
Doris Hagerud, a long-time resident of Tule Lake, California, passed away Sunday the 28th of September in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the Quail Park at Crystal Terrace Retirement Home.
Doris was born on March 1, 1931 in Tacoma, WA to Joel and Eva Olson along with her brother Carl and her sister Dorothy. She received her diploma from Puyallup High School in 1949. Doris retired from First Interstate Bank where she worked at the Lacey and McCord branches in Washington State throughout her career.
Doris loved gardening, her many animals, cooking and spending time with her family and her dear friends in Tule Lake, Klamath Falls and the greater Tacoma area.
Doris was preceded in death by both of her parents, her late husband Robert S. Hagerud, sister Dorothy Olson and her late husband John “Duke” Mercurio. Doris is survived by her brother Carl Olson (Mary Errigo) of Fife, stepsons Timothy (Becca), Christopher (Tara) and Patrick (Kim) Mercurio, stepdaughters Nancy Augustini, Jean Haynes, Mary Awa, several granddaughters, a great granddaughter and grandson. Doris is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Friday, November 7, 2014 at Mountain View Celebration of Life Center Aspen Chapel. Doris will be laid to rest at the Olson Family plot at Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood, WA.
