Kristy Thompson
Grandma Doris showed me so much kindness when I needed it as a child. I will never forget her generosity and love. This is a recipe I got from her a million years ago and it should be shared with her family, wherever they are.

Doris Daly’s Blackberry Pudding
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. blackberries, drained
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla and fold in blackberries, being careful not to smash the berries into the batter.
Melt a little butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour the mixture in the pan and bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Serve with a White Sauce.

5 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
