Donna Jean Sacco's Obituary
Donna Jean Sacco went to meet her Lord and Savior or October 29, 2023. She was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, WA , to Vern and Evelyn Westby on May 10, 1925. She grew up in Tacoma with her beloved Grandmother and Grandfather.
Donna Graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943.
Donna married Richard Sacco on May 18, 1944 at Evangelistic Tabernacle in Tacoma.
Donna and Richard had two daughters, Linda and Judy.
Donna and Richard traveled to multiple different churches in the area and held Children's Church. Her other acts of services included collaborating in women's ministry group Loving Hands, teaching Sunday School and going to Camp Berachah with the kids. Donna was a people person which she demonstrated through the way she loved family, friends and most of all the Lord.
Donna was employed at JCPenny for several years. She loved her job and stayed in contact with coworkers that became good friends for decades.
After Richard's untimely death in 1977, Donna discovered a love for traveling, working with fellow widow and trying new things. She was the founder and leader of a widow's group which led to numerous lifelong friendships. She often referred to them as "my ladies," and they continued to meet up until February 2023.
Donna could also regularly be found curled up with a good book and watching Gaithers and The Hallmark Channel.
Donna was loyal and faithful member of Sound Life Church (Spanaway Assemblies of God) for many years. In people's moments of need, Donna responded with prayer and was a prayer warrior who truly believed in the Lord's power of answering prayers.
Donna is survived by two daughters; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and two brothers. She dearly loved them all.
