Donna Rose Koch's Obituary
Donna R. Koch passed away October 17, 2009 in Tacoma, WA at the age of 69. Born July 18, 1940 in Tacoma, WA to Caroline and Donald Lacy. After 14 yrs. in WA, they went to Browns Cork, Ireland, and traveled many places before returning. She attended Lincoln High School. Donna leaves behind her husband of 38 years, "RockOn Roll Bob", sister and friend Frances Fenton, of Tacoma. Frances has always been there, being more than a friend or sister. She's been there unconditionally; 6 children Tina, Cindy, Bud, Don, Carrie and Marcus, as well as 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Barbara Koch; 2 very special nieces Krista and Bethany. Special men in her life Gail Guthrie and Tory Wall. She loved being a grandmother. Cinnamon kept her company, sharing movies and talking stories. Donna spent several years working in the medical field at Western State Hospital, Gig Harbor Cinemas, and was manager and friend to Joann Fabrics, where she passed on her many generations of learned stitchery and crafts to her many customers, community and friends. Special thanks to the entire Hospice team. She will be deeply missed.
Viewing will be held Thurs., Oct. 22nd, 1-9pm at Mt. View Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, Oct. 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Valley Chapel at Mt. View Funeral Home in Lakewood.
