"Donna" Marian Bass' Obituary
Marian Donna Bass was born on September 25, 1963 in Tacoma, Washington to Emmett and Ottellia Bass. She departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ottellia M. Bass, and three brothers Charles E. Bass, William G. Bass and Ralph Bass.
Marian, (Donna) graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington, where she received her high school diploma.
Donna was considered a special person with a big heart. She loved music and often mimicked the gospel choirs at Eastside Baptist Church, Tacoma, Washington with singing, clapping her hands and moving to the beat of the music.
Although her skills were very limited, she always figured out how to get what she wanted. The Caregivers, who were responsible for her, couldn’t help, but love her. They were amazed with her tenacity and forceful spirit, which seen to keep them on their toes.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her father, Emmett E. Bass of Louisville, Ky; her sisters, Diana A. Owens, Tacoma, WA; Ottellia E. Hampton, Atlanta, Ga; Theresa M. Atkinson (George), Springfield, PA; Alisa M. Bass-Gamlin, Spanaway, WA; Ricarda Bass, Savannah, Ga; Tamara Bass, Louisville, Ky; Angelique Bass, Louisville, Ky; Fontella Bass, Louisville, Ky; Mirycal Bass, Louisville, Ky; Mary Grace Kangas (Tim), Maple Valley, WA; her brothers, Anthony E. Bass (Gwenell) New Carrollton, Md; Yancey J. Bass, Washington, Md; Domenico Bass (Shannon) Sellersburg, Indiana; Emmett Bass, Jr, Louisville, Ky; Mark E. Bass, Tacoma, WA; her Aunt Marian Rogers, Chicago, Ill and her Uncle Clarence Matthew, Prospect, Ky. And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, Aspen Chapel at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. Repass will follow the gravesite ceremony.
