Donna Carden's Obituary
Donna Carden, nee Arave, was born July 3, 1926 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Herschel Dell and Mae Arave. She was the third of four children. She had a treasured childhood growing up on her parents' farm surrounded by family, friends, and farmhands. There were enough wonderful memories there to last her whole lifetime.
When Donna was a teenager, her family moved to Coulee Dam, Washington, where she met the love of her life. She married Donald Carden in 1946 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and they had four children raised in Washington state. She and Don provided a wonderful childhood for their kids, including a move to Germany for two years.
Donna was a highly accomplished seamstress, a meticulous secretary, and an avid world class traveler with many interests. She was an eager gardener, an enthusiastic reader of mysteries in particular, and a comforting cook. She loved dancing, but married a man who couldn't dance because she loved him more. She enjoyed taking photos but they seldom came out because she had "one good/near eye and one far eye. "
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Ramona Carden and Zana Hoffman; daughters Leanne Carden, Jolynn and son-in-law Felix Treadway, Sherrie Teague, and Sharlee Carden, as well as four grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, and one great great- grandchild, plus many beloved nieces and nephews.
We are left here to cherish her memory.
