Donald Swanson's Obituary
Donald R. Swanson, 84, of Tacoma died peacefully August 14, 2013. He was born October 10, 1928 in Tacoma to Adolf and Lena Swanson. He married Bernie Lammer on June 17, 1950. They were married for 42 years until her death in May of 1992.
Don retired early from Hooker Chemical as a chlorine supervisor. He loved to play golf and was a member of Brookdale Golf Course.
Survived by daughter Cindy (Cary) Maschner, Puyallup; son Mark Swanson Waukee, IA; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Bernie Swanson and son Wade Swanson.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 10am with a funeral service to follow at 11am at Mt. View Funeral Home’s Garden Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA.
