Donald H. Russell's Obituary
Donald H. Russell 95 of Tacoma, Wa went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on July, 4th 2020.
Born on May 9th, 1925 in Lynden Wa. Don was the sixth child in a family of eight children born to Deyo and Nellie Russell.
He is survived by his brother Burt Russell in Bellingham Wa.
Don was raised on a farm but longing for adventure joined the Army Air Corps in June of 1942.
Preceded in death was his beloved wife Elisabeth whom he met and married in Germany after the war they were married 70 years. He is also survived by his children Karin Vannet of Yuba City, Ca. , Bill Russell of Yorba Linda, Ca., Tammy Harrison of Tacoma, Wa., Rehla White of Tacoma, Wa.
Also preceded in death was grandson Jacob Wilyerd and is survived by seven other grandchildren and 15 great grand children.
Retiring after 27 years of service in the Air Force his second career was serving as a nurse for 20 years.
Don & Elisabeth were active in their church Faith Lutheran for many years and enjoyed traveling throughout the states and Europe. The later part of their lives was spent enjoying their family and helping friends and neighbors.
