Donald R. Linley's Obituary
Don was born in Skiatook, OK on April 6th, 1937 and passed away on February 8, 2005 at the age of 67. Don was a long-time resident of Tacoma, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife (Vinnie LaVerne) and his granddaughter (Kira Esser).Don served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in MT and Bermuda. After leaving the Air Force, he settled in Tacoma and opened his own appliance repair business. He then started his career with the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1992 after 34 years of service.He is survived by his 6 year old Shitzu-Taipei, his daughter Mary Esser (Jerry) of Kent, WA, his son Robert Linley (Lorie), Valinda Linley (Ray) Maine, a sister Loraine Edwards of Tracy, CA, Jack Linley of Florida, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.In addition to his immediate family he will be missed by his special loving friends Helen Stoumbaugh (Granny) and her children.Dad was a loving, giving person who added much joy and happiness to our lives. He will be greatly missed by all! It has been a blessing having him in our lives.Memorial Services will he held 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2005 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd., S.W., Tacoma, WA, 98499.
