Donald Moseid's Obituary
The family of Donald Moseid Tacoma, WA, announces his passing on July 27, 2024, at the age of 88. Don earned a Masters Degree in Political Science from Oregon State University and was a dedicated educator. He was well versed in American history and international relations, and was known for his ability to respectfully speak both sides of any issue.
In his youth, Don was an All-State basketball player at Stadium High School in Tacoma. His love for the game continued as he played at the University of Puget Sound, Seattle University, and later with the Tacoma Cheney Studs in AAU Basketball. Don’s passion for coaching led him to guide the Mt.Tahoma T-Birds to their first AAA State Title in 1965, followed by two NWAC division championships with Tacoma Community College.
Don’s love for basketball never wavered. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Diane, his daughter, Heidi, and his granddaughter Keely.
